CANADA VISA EXPRESS ENTRY

Whether you are a professional in your job with some years of experience in your country or you have been employed in Canada by a Canadian company and have earned your job experience in Canada, a system in Canadian immigration called “Express Entry” may be just the right one for you to relocate to permanently Canada.

Canada offers the Express Entry System, a system that enables the IRCC to choose the top-qualifying people based on what they can offer Canada.

There are 3 programs under Express Entry: Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Federal Skilled Worker

A Federal Skilled Worker is a skilled educated professional with suitable work experience that can add to Canada’s economy and growth. There are 347 chosen professions on the list so there are many options.

In order to be classified as a Federal Skilled Worker the candidate must have completed at least a years work experience in the chosen profession, be within Canada’s ‘preferred’ age bracket, be proficient in English and/or French and be educated to an equivalent Canadian qualification. If the candidate has family living in Canada it is also a bonus as is previous experience of either working or studying in Canada and, of course, not to mention a job offer.

In order to be eligible to apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) the candidate has to create an Express Entry profile and be able to meet the minimum requirements and obtain a minimum of 67 points within the 100-point grid program.

Once the candidates expression of interest is submitted their application will go into the Express Entry pool and the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) will complete a regular draw of applications, otherwise referred to as an Invitation to Apply and draw out the candidates with the highest number of points. A comprehensive ranking system (CRS) is then used to rate the candidates profile.

Once in the Express Entry pool the IRCC

Once you are in the Express Entry pool, IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) use a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank your profile.

Once your profile and your expression of interest into the Express Entry system into Canada has been submitted you can at any time amend it should your situation change. It may be that changes in your situation could gain you more points.

Canada will accept candidates without an offer of employment but with an offer the candidates application will become stronger as points increase and as will the chances of an Invitation to Apply being offered. As a skilled professional the candidate has the option to then join Job Match and create a job search profile so potential employers can match its vacancies with prospective employees.

The Express Entry expression of interest has a validity on twelve months and if the candidate is not invited to apply during this time then the profile needs to be resubmitted providing the criteria is still met.

Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP)

A Federal Skilled Tradesperson is a skilled tradesperson with suitable work experience and skills in the candidates chosen trade. The candidate must be in a position to add to Canada’s economy and growth.
