Post-secondary graduates in Saskatchewan can now benefit from increased tax credits of up to $24,000 through the Graduate Retention Program (GRP). For students graduating on or after October 1, 2024, the lifetime maximum GRP tax credit has been raised by 20%. The program provides tuition rebates to graduates who live and pay taxes in Saskatchewan following their studies. Graduates receive these credits over seven years and have a window of up to 10 years after graduation to claim or apply any unused credits. Eligible graduates will start to receive the enhanced tax credit when they file their 2025 taxes in spring 2026.
