The restructuring process, scheduled to commence in mid-February with a phased implementation spanning three years, is anticipated to affect immigration application processing timelines. Given the existing application volume of over 2 million cases, with more than 1 million currently exceeding standard processing times, industry analysts project extended processing durations, particularly for temporary resident applications, barring the implementation of enhanced automated processing systems.
