Starting April 22, 2025, Manitoba will launch a temporary public policy enabling eligible Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) candidates to apply for two-year work permit extensions. The initiative targets individuals whose permits expired in 2024/2025 or will expire within 45 days. Candidates must have maintained a valid Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Expression of Interest profile since January 15, 2025, demonstrate continuous Manitoba residency, and hold current employment with a Manitoba employer willing to provide a letter of employment. The program will accept applications until December 31, 2025.
