Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From January 20 to January 26, Canada invited 7,374 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of January 24, 30,495 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 3 ITAs for Andorra, 209 ITAs for Australia, 32 ITAs for Austria, 138 ITAs for Belgium, 91 ITAs for Costa Rica, 4 ITAs for Croatia, 18 ITAs for Denmark, 10 ITAs for Estonia, 7 ITAs for Finland, 1,018 ITAs for France, 38 ITAs for Greece, 11 ITAs for Hong Kong, 360 ITAs for Ireland, 148 ITAs for Italy, 2,528 ITAs for Korea, 13 ITAs for Latvia, 38 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 114 ITAs for the Netherlands, 5 ITAs for New Zealand, 7 ITAs for Norway, 12 ITAs for Poland, 39 ITAs for Portugal, 25 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 83 ITAs for Spain, 15 ITAs for Sweden, 11 ITAs for Switzerland, 206 ITAs for Taiwan, and 2,187 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2025, Canada issued 18,647 ITAs under the IEC Program.
