On March 18, 2025, British Columbia held the second draw of 2025 and invited business candidates under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). The BCPNP issued eight invitations to candidates in the Base Category of the Entrepreneur Stream, designed for experienced businesspeople who want to start a new business or buy an existing business in British Columbia. The lowest score of this round was 115 points. In addition, the province invited up to five candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional stream with a minimum score of 123. The maximum points in the Entrepreneur Stream grid are 200. Qualified entrepreneurs must be referred by a participating community to be eligible under the EI Regional stream. Last year, British Columbia invited up to 80 business candidates through the Entrepreneur draws. So far this year, the province has issued only 23 invitations under the BCPNP.
