Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) policy modifications affected 37,170 Express Entry candidates. These candidates have experienced a reduction in their profiles following the removal of arranged employment points (previously valued at 50-200 points) as of March 2025. The modification has a particular bearing on candidates from India, the Philippines, and China, who represent the majority of affected applicants. Industry experts anticipate that while this revision will influence CRS cut-off scores, the threshold is projected to maintain levels above 500 points through June 2025, with subsequent adjustments contingent upon draw volumes and French language capabilities among applicants.
