Alberta published the update considering the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) inventory and the results of its recent draws. According to the new update, 3,308 nomination spaces were remaining, and 3,499 applications were to be processed. The number of expressions of interest currently in the selection pool under all streams or pathways is 53,578. In addition, in the first two weeks of April, AAIP held three provincial immigration draws, issuing Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to a total of 81 candidates. These draws aimed to attract health care professionals through three distinct streams. On April 1, 2025, the province invited 34 candidates who scored 60 points or more under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry stream. On April 3, 19 healthcare professionals were invited under the Alberta Express Entry – Priority Sectors Stream. To receive an ITA, candidates have to score at least 71 points. Finally, on April 6, under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non-Express Entry Stream, another 28 invitations were issued to candidates with a minimum score of 53. In 2025, the province invited 665 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination under all AAIP streams and issued 1,567 nomination certificates.
