Ontario is investing an additional $955 million in the Skills Development Fund (SDF), bringing the total to $2.5 billion over three years. This funding will help train and reskill workers impacted by tariffs and economic uncertainty, ensuring they secure well-paying jobs. The SDF includes two streams: the Training Stream, which funds hiring and upskilling programs, and the Capital Stream, which supports building and upgrading training centres in key sectors like manufacturing and health care. This initiative aims to protect jobs, boost paycheques, and strengthen Ontario’s economy.
