The Northwest Territories is opening its third nomination intake for 2025 on November 10 at 9 a.m., following successful advocacy that restored the territory’s full allocation of 300 spots. To accommodate remaining nominations before year-end, the program has introduced temporary changes, including removing employer application limits, eliminating work permit expiry requirements for eligible applicants, and reinstating the one-year work experience standard from previous years. The intake closes November 24 at 5 p.m., with up to 103 applications being processed. Priority will go to those with work permits expiring within three months, followed by submission date. Applications not finalized by December 23 will be withdrawn, with applicants invited to reapply in 2026.
