Canada’s Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) saw a 4.3% increase in new permanent residents in February, according to the latest data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). A total of 1,805 new permanent residents were welcomed in February, up from 1,730 in January. This growth in popularity for the PGP in February follows a month with a 33% increase in the number of new permanent residents compared to January of the previous year when Canada welcomed 1,300 new permanent residents under the PGP.
