On May 8, 2025, the Government of British Columbia held the first Skills Immigration invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and issued invitations to apply to 94 skilled candidates. The selection criteria targeted two distinct groups: 47 candidates in NOC TEER 0 or 1 positions earning a minimum wage of $105 per hour while working full-time with their supporting BC employer, and another 47 candidates who achieved a minimum score of 150 points. This year, British Columbia has invited up to 122 candidates.
