According to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), at the beginning of the year, there were 154,421 Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) applications in the Express Entry (EE) pool, despite the program being temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Out of 193,565 candidates in the EE pool, the share of FSWP applicants was approximately 80%. The rest of the applicants in the pool were CEC candidates (38,223 applications), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) candidates (577 applications), and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates (344 applications).
