On January 15, 2022, the Government of Canada introduced [2] new border measures due to the worsening epidemiological situation in the country.
The Government limited travel restriction exemptions for unvaccinated persons, allowing only a small proportion of unvaccinated persons to enter Canada. As of January 15, 2022, unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers will not be allowed to enter Canada. New permanent residents, refugees, asylum claimants, temporary foreign workers in agriculture or food-processing occupations, and some children under the age of 18 are exemptions and will be permitted to cross the border.
