Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From September 30 to October 6, Canada invited 2,846 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of October 6, 30,400 candidates registered in the pool, awaiting the invitation. In this round, there were 194 ITAs for Australia, 2 ITAs for Austria, 31 ITAs for Belgium, 957 ITAs for Chile, 16 ITA for Costa Rica, 5 ITAs for Croatia, 31 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 6 ITAs for Denmark, 9 ITAs for Estonia, 135 ITAs for France, 120 ITAs for Germany, 20 ITAs for Greece, 7 ITAs for Hong Kong, 155 ITAs for Ireland, 104 ITAs for Italy, 15 ITAs for Japan, 140 ITAs for Korea, 1 ITA for Latvia, 3 ITAs for Lithuania, 3 ITAs for Luxembourg, 28 ITAs for the Netherlands, 47 ITAs for New Zealand, 8 ITAs for Norway, 21 ITAs for Poland, 32 ITAs for Portugal, 7 ITAs for Slovakia, 5 ITAs for Slovenia, 72 ITAs for Spain, 6 ITAs for Sweden, 2 ITAs for Switzerland, 341 ITAs for Taiwan, and 323 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 124,462 ITAs under the IEC Program.
