Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From February 11 to February 17, Canada invited 7,772 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of February 17, there were 15,205 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 2 ITAs for Andorra, 351 ITAs for Australia, 9 ITAs for Austria, 52 ITAs for Belgium, 637 ITAs for Chile, 7 ITAs for Costa Rica, 7 ITAs for Croatia, 64 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 12 ITAs for Denmark, 4 ITAs for Estonia, 3,434 ITAs for France, 223 ITAs for Germany, 21 ITAs for Greece, 19 ITAs for Hong Kong, 402 ITAs for Ireland, 101 ITAs for Italy, 321 ITAs for Japan, 766 ITAs for Korea, 2 ITAs for Latvia, 23 ITAs for Lithuania, 48 ITAs for the Netherlands, 84 ITAs for New Zealand, 5 ITAs for Norway, 39 ITAs for Poland, 48 ITAs for Portugal, 23 ITAs for Slovakia, 103 ITAs for Spain, 21 ITAs for Sweden, 20 ITAs for Switzerland, 411 ITAs for Taiwan, and 513 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 51,671 ITAs under the IEC Program.
