Canada needs more immigrants to increase its population and solve the labour shortage issue

Recent studies by Environics revealed that a whopping 58% of Canadians believe immigration should be increased to bolster the population – compared with only 23% who held this view 30 years ago. In 1993, an astounding 77 percent of survey respondents expressed opposition to increasing Canada’s immigrant intake, indicating a tremendous shift in attitude today! A similar perspective was seen regarding the Canadian opinion that immigration levels were too high. According to Environics, poll data revealed only 27% of people wanted immigration rates reduced.
