The Government of Canada will announce a new Immigration Levels Plan on November 1, 2022. This will be the second Plan released in 2022 under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). As part of the Immigration Levels Plan for 2022-2024, Canada aims to welcome 431,645 new permanent residents in 2022. This target gradually increases each year and reaches 451,000 by 2024. Each year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) publishes an Immigration Levels Plan that provides the framework for how many immigrants will be permitted to immigrate to Canada. This year’s Plan will reveal projections for 2023, 2024, and 2025.
