Canada’s population is predicted to be as high as 74 million people by 2068 because of a regular influx of immigrants from different countries. According to Statistics Canada’s report, Canada’s population will go from 38.2 million in 2021 to anywhere between 42.9 and 52.5 million in 2043, and 44.9 to 74 million by 2068. If Statistics Canada’s projections are correct, in the coming decades, immigration will be key to population growth in Canada, though the absolute number of immigrants admitted each year will vary depending on different economic scenarios.
