On June 14, 2022, the Government of Canada updated instructions for the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The Government added links to the Business visitors [R186(a)] instructions as well as to the CPTPP and specified the countries. In addition, the new instructions include guidance on investors, intra-corporate transferees and professionals and technicians, and documentary evidence required for investors and intra-corporate transferees (T51) under the CPTPP. The Government also removed the intra-corporate transferee category “management trainee on professional development,” as this part of the CPTPP has not yet come into force.
