Canadian job market tightens as vacancies continue to decline

The Canadian job market is experiencing a significant shift as job vacancies continue to fall at an accelerating rate. Statistics Canada reports a drop of 59,000 job openings in the second quarter of 2024, marking a 9.2% decrease and the eighth consecutive quarterly decline.
