The Canadian government is considering changes to the Express Entry system that would enable the immigration minister to propose candidates based on an economic goal. IRCC will carry out targeted draws aimed at selecting those in the queue with certain language abilities or healthcare skills who are most likely to contribute to Canada’s economic and social development. The Canadian Government is currently discussing the modifications.
