Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced significant changes to its Settlement Program Terms and Conditions, extending settlement services eligibility to a broader group of Palestinians arriving from Gaza. The updated program delivery instructions now incorporate expanded service accessibility, enabling service provider organizations (SPOs) to verify client eligibility for federally funded settlement services. This enhancement also facilitates IRCC’s determination process for transitional financial assistance eligibility. To access these settlement services, eligible clients must present a temporary resident document containing the “MOME2023” remark in the document’s remarks section, which validates their eligibility for IRCC-funded settlement services through service provider organizations.
