Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From July 15 to July 21, Canada invited 1,647 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of July 21, 27,453 candidates registered in the pool, awaiting the invitation. In this round, there were 233 ITAs for Australia, 4 ITAs for Austria, 1 ITA for Belgium, 2 ITAs for Costa Rica, 3 ITAs for Croatia, 38 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 9 ITAs for Denmark, 2 ITAs for Estonia, 120 ITAs for France, 146 ITAs for Germany, 3 ITAs for Greece, 50 ITAs for Hong Kong, 105 ITAs for Ireland, 61 ITAs for Italy, 209 ITAs for Japan, 24 ITAs for Korea, 3 ITAs for Lithuania, 22 ITA for the Netherlands, 57 ITAs for New Zealand, 5 ITAs for Norway, 15 ITAs for Poland, 25 ITAs for Portugal, 8 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 61 ITAs for Spain, 10 ITAs for Sweden, 10 ITAs for Switzerland, 2 ITAs for Taiwan, and 418 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 99,672 ITAs under the IEC Program.
