On July 27, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #187, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 335 applicants who scored 614 points and above. Manitoba also issued 202 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 649 points, 12 points fewer than the previous draw. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 21 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 717 points, 57 points fewer than in the previous draw. In addition, 51 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 609 candidates, including 106 Express Entry candidates for this round. In 2023, MPNP invited 9,063 candidates, and 2,466 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
