On March 16, 2022, the Office of the Premier of New Brunswick announced the province’s support to Ukraine. According to Premier Blaine Higgs, there are more than 3,500 New Brunswick residents who possess Ukrainian descent or were born in Ukraine. The province is ready to welcome Ukrainian refugees and help those who are still in Ukraine. New Brunswick has already donated $100,000 to the National Bank of Ukraine to support Ukrainians who face violence in the illegal and unjustified war imposed by Russia.
