On April 20, 2022, Gerry Byrne, Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills of Newfoundland and Labrador, called for proposals for “Celebrating Home” – the first Come Home 2022-related grant that encourages service organizations and communities to apply for up to $500 towards offering a multicultural event or program within the Come Home 2022 festivities. This initiative is the latest in a suite of newcomer-focused programs and services that makes Newfoundland and Labrador a national leader in immigration settlement and retention.
