On March 31, 2023, the Government of Ontario published the list of individuals, representatives, and companies to whom penalties and contravention orders have been issued due to inaccurate, incorrect or misleading information in an application submitted under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Contraventions and penalties issued under the Ontario Immigration Act 2015 aimed to deter and punish non-compliance with the immigration laws of Ontario. When submitting applications to the OINP, individuals, employers and representatives must provide precise and accurate information. Failure to adhere to these standards may result in substantial penalties.
