On March 15, 2023, the provincial Government of Quebec announced changes regarding transmitting the Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ). The Ministere de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Integration (MIFI) will no longer issue a printed copy of the CAQ by mail. Eligible individuals will receive an online Attestation of issuance of the CAQ and use it to submit a study permit application to the federal government. This provision will enable MIFI to streamline its temporary selection process for studies by removing any possible issues related to international mailing, ultimately providing a better service to international students interested in studying in Quebec.
