Saskatchewan has emerged as Canada’s labour market powerhouse, boasting the highest job creation rate at 3.4% and the lowest unemployment rate at 4.9% among all provinces, according to Statistics Canada’s March 2025 report. The province added 19,800 jobs year-over-year, with notable construction, healthcare, and education gains. Female employment reached a historic peak of 287,000, while both major cities, Saskatoon and Regina, experienced significant employment growth. This robust performance, coupled with Saskatchewan’s status as the first carbon tax-free province, positions it as an increasingly attractive destination for business investment.
