The governments of Canada and Saskatchewan have jointly announced a substantial investment of approximately $35 million to be allocated over the next two years to strengthen early childhood education. This funding initiative will facilitate tuition-free training, professional development opportunities, and financial assistance for Saskatchewan’s early childhood educators (ECEs). As part of the Canada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement, this program is set to establish over 4,000 tuition-free training positions and support over 5,300 professional development opportunities. This strategic allocation of resources is intended to address the increasing demand for qualified ECEs in the province.
