Saskatchewan’s Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is no longer processing many overseas applications due to major changes. Canada has reduced provincial immigration quotas by 50% and now requires 75% of the remaining quota to be allocated to temporary residents already in Canada. As a result, SINP will only accept skilled workers who are already in Saskatchewan and employed by a company that has provided them with a Job Approval Letter, except in healthcare, agriculture, or skilled trades. Applications in food services, retail, and trucking are being returned, and the 2025 cap for these sectors is already full. Foreign applicants without a Saskatchewan job offer in key sectors are now excluded.
