On February 23, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 25 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 245 points, five points fewer than in the previous draw. All applicants had one eligible occupation and a wage over $20 per hour. Last year, in total, 154 applicants were invited. Sudbury has recommended at least 249 individuals under the RNIP since the program’s launch. So far, the city considered 49 candidates in 2023.
